Overview
Altered Carbon is set in the 25th century when the human mind has been digitized and the soul itself is transferable from one body to the next. Takeshi Kovacs, a former elite interstellar warrior known as an Envoy who has been imprisoned for 250 years, is downloaded into a future he'd tried to stop. If he can solve a single murder in a world where technology has made death nearly obsolete, he'll get a chance at a new life on Earth.

Found incorrect info?

1. Takeshi spent not 250 years on the ice, but no more than 7-8 years, respectively, the world around him has not changed that much (which many were surprised at).
2. He didn't seem to have any relationship with Quellchrist Faulconer (because she lived about 300 years before him), and Quellchrist herself had nothing to do with Envoys training.
3. The Envoys themselves are not artisanal terrorists at all, but a special unit of the very CTAC that they are they were opposed in the series.
4. I'm not sure about the book Takeshi's sister yet, but a certain Rei is mentioned in direct text, who advised Bancroft to hire him, and she, apparently, is not his sister.
5. Mysterious aliens (Elders) are none other than Martians. :) They have not yet said anything about the presence or absence of angel wings.
6. Interstellar travel "faster than light" is still possible, because through the "hyper protocol" a data packet with a "soul" is transmitted instantly. But before the planet where the soul is sent, the receiver and the body cloning kit were transported in the good old sublight way.
7. The stacks themselves in the form of these glowing things and what the Martians had to do with them are also not being talked about yet, while there is a feeling that in the book universe the transfer of the "soul" is carried out simply "from the brain" and "into the brain", without these intermediary repositories.
I'll read on and add more if anyone is interested...
