Not counting the music
Michael Myers feels like a ridiculous weirdo and not pure evil. And the scene where the heroine manages to knock him out twice in a row but not finish him off is full of laughter.
I am very disappointed. I liked only the music and the opening scene. Otherwise, the movie is just boring.
Halloween themed 🎃👍
Now many of these films will seem boring, not scary, but then they were shot in a completely different way and it was a novelty. If you don't like this version, you can try to look at the restarts of the 00s or 10s.
The Sinister Dead
Friday the 13th

Scream
A nightmare on Elm Street
Children of corn
Night of the Living Dead
and so on
Another very good of the first is the _classical series of horror films from the studio Universal_ (1930-1950) 🎬👏
But more details will be revealed in the future . 🙂👌
In the remake version of the plot, this is revealed immediately from the start, but I didn't like everything there terribly. 👎

I'm always amazed that their doors are always open, anyone can come in. They're so fearless.
About 8 years ago, I tried to watch it for the first time — and then it seemed to me noticeably weaker than the same Scream. Too slow, too quiet, too easy.
I've reviewed it now, at a more conscious age. And I'll tell you what:
it's a cult classic... but godlessly outdated.
Yes, it's atmospheric. Yes, it is historically important. Yes, he really worked at the time.
But today it's frankly boring to watch it in some places. The pace is slow, the action is minimal, there are almost no scares — everything is based on the atmosphere.
But the ending is fire. There's a chill right there.
And, of course, Myers' music is a legend. Plus vintage cars and the autumnal vibe of the suburbs add charm.
As a result: the emotions are pleasant, as if I touched a museum exhibit of the genre.
If you want to understand how modern horror began, it's worth taking a look.
If you are waiting for the dynamics and the tin level of the 90s and beyond, you may be disappointed.
A classic? Yes. Are you scared today? Absolutely not, you can fall asleep from how ancient and slow everything is.
