The show is based on a novel of the same name by Kass Morgan. A century ago the human civilization was vanished from the planet Earth as a result of the global nuclear war. Nowadays, a space shuttle in the outer space became the last shelter for a bunch of survivors. But not everyone is lucky enough to live a normal life there. A group of teenage criminals called the 100 is going to be landed on Earth to discover if there is any chance for everyone else to live there safely. But something has gone wrong, and instead of Washington, DC they end up in the middle of nowhere. Their only chance to survive now is to fight and to discover what really happens on Earth...
